2011 Farm Fresh Co-Op Program
Farm Fresh Localy Grown Vegetables delivered the same day they're picked.
At Hauk Farms we have a proud 90 year tradition of growing fruits and vegetables as a family business.
The 2012 Farm Fresh Program is a crop sharing program where we deliver a family sized portion of fresh fruits and vegetables all season long. Drop off points are currently available our barn in Canton, Dearborn Livonia, Northville, Novi, Farmington, Milan, Westland, Dundee and AnnArbor aeras. In Michigan we have a harvest season of 18-20 weeks. We start planting in the greenhouse Feb. 1st , with coal or cruciferous crops and leafy greens. Then seeds, bulbs, and root vegetables in the field late March and early April, and with any luck we will have something to harvest in late may or early June. Our season ends with hay rides, pumpkin picking, and stocking up on all your favorites for the winter season at our harvest party Saturday October 13th.
Due to increased public awareness of the importance of a diet high in fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables is to overall health and child deveolpement. Not to mention popular demand for the taste of vegetables picked and delivered the same day they're harvested. We have decided to expand the Farm Fresh program for 2012. Registration for the 2012 growing season.
